Leathercraft is possibly the most incredible team of people I have ever worked with. Family owned with a very lean management team, their priorities are clear and their philosophies are founded in simple grass roots terms. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Companies often forget that they can be no better then the people that they hire.

Leathercraft is one of the few factories that is still a completely domestic manufacturer of hi-end leather and fabric upholstered furniture. I guess what impresses me the most is their willingness to go the extra mile; their quality is not dictated by a chart on the wall or a supervisor. Each employee seems to have a personal integrity at stake and a genuine commitment to build a piece of furniture they would want in their own home. By appointment I am available to give your customers a 20-minute tour through the Leathercraft factory. We then can sit in different types of furniture to feel what is most comfortable. We check cushion comfort, frame, size, and pitch, and look at leather preferences together. Afterwards, I send you, the designer or sales associate, a report describing customer preferences. I love living so close to the factory and being able to offer extraordinary customer service.

Our leathers hides come from Italy and Germany primarily, however around the world are incredible resources for quality leather that we can now take advantage. Whether you are specifying your fabrics or ours, Leathercraft cutters and sewers are trained in the nuances of hi-end tailoring such as flow match, center match and following detailed instructions. Reading their acknowledgement is critical to the success of your project. If the acknowledgement is missing information or typed in wrong, your furniture will not be right.

While maintaining our American heritage of craftsmanship, my experience of working with Leathercraft has been the combination of forward thinking technologies and attitudes with the high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Please understand, we make mistakes... like most humans, we can only take responsibility for our mistakes. Yet, regardless of “who did what,” we never lose site of the fact that your customer is our customer. Being a small company that does not spend huge sums on brand awareness, we depend on word of mouth and customer satisfaction for our growth and reputation. Your patience with me and the departments trained to support concerns that you have, is always deeply appreciated.

We want to make money, building the best product, serving your hi-end customer that is looking for something unique and special.

Following are some key aspects of  Leathercraft Furniture.

  • Our price-point is comparable to other hi end domestic furniture manufacturers.
  • With no standard for leathers in the industry, we are known for our unique leathers, value price points and expert tailoring capabilities. Our factory has been creating signature pieces for the design trade for many years.
  • Leathercraft flow matches like most hi-end upholsterers.
  • We have two quick ship programs that actually work.
    1.   Particular leathers (83) as shown on most frames in our catalog.
    2.   A two-week manufacturing process for all COM orders as specified after financing approved.
  • We still use Maple hardwood for our frame and can easily create custom heights and lengths for special customers with unique situations. We continue to build furniture as true craftsmen shipping out of Hickory, NC.
  • We will match our finish at no additional charge to your existing wood finishes.
  • We will price your custom fabric-leather-trim combinations for you. Use the line sketch on page 122 to itemize the placement, fax to Angie, and she will give you a call ASAP.
  • There is no buy-in to get started with our leather line. I am in the Hickory factory frequently for your customers to sit in a piece and can set you up an account with proper documentation to start your special order business with us immediately.
  • Designers tolerate our recliner program as the "best of the worst" available! Our home theatre is exquisite.
